PODGORICA, Montenegro (AP) — A recently formed centrist group that advocates Montenegro joining the European Union was projected to win the small Balkan country’s early parliamentary election held Sunday, but without enough support to form a government on its own, according to independent vote monitors.The Center for Democratic Transition pollsters group said that based on all of the votes counted, the Europe Now movement won 26% percent of the vote, while the coalition led by the Democratic Party of Socialists of former President Milo Djukanovic got 23%.The unofficial results are based on pollster projections and on results from representative samples from individual polling stations. The province’s Special Investigations Unit has been called in following an incident involving Toronto police Sunday morning. Police say they were called about a car theft just before noon in the area of Roxton Road and College Street, just east of Ossington Avenue.“While responding, a police firearm was discharged,” police said in a brief tweet without elaborating as to what led up to the officer firing their weapon. Photos from the crime scene show a vehicle protected by police tape with at least one bullet hole in the front windshield.Two suspects have been arrested, according to police. (AP) — An apparent street party that attracted hundreds of people turned violent early Sunday in Syracuse, New York, leaving at least 13 people injured, authorities said.At least four people suffered gunshot wounds and five others had apparent knife wounds, among other injuries, Syracuse police Lt. As many as 10 people are dead and at least a dozen more are injured after a bus crashed on the east coast of Australia.According to the New South Wales Police Force, the crash happened late Sunday night when the bus rolled over near a highway in the town of Greta, which is two hours north of Sydney.“Initial inquiries indicate 10 people have died. 11 people were transported to hospital via helicopter and road, and 18 passengers are uninjured,” police said in a brief statement.
