Why are many Texans denied SNAP benefits due to car value? HOUSTON (KIAH) — A new Texas law can affect how those struggling to feed their families may have their benefits adjusted by what kind of car they own.SNAP benefits are eligible to households based on income, resources and family size. As of last month, over a million SNAP benefit cases have been filed across Texas. However, according to Feeding Texas, a food bank nonprofit, more than 54,000 SNAP applicants in Texas were denied due to the value of their vehicles. Here's why. Galway man dies in Charlton car crash CHARLTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Galway man has died after a one-car crash in Charlton. The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office said Anthony Giglio, 62, was pronounced dead at the scene. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Around 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to the crash on Route 147 in Charlton. Police found that Giglio, driving a 2012 Ram 1500, was traveling south when he lost control and struck a tree. Giglio was the only occupant in the vehicle. An investigation found that unsafe speed contributed to the crash. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Galway EMS, West Charlton Fire Department, Harmony Corners Fire Department, Charlton Fire Department, and the Galway Fire Department.

CDOT expects fewer preemptive I-70 closures through Glenwood Canyon with new rainfall thresholds The Colorado Department of Transportation announced new thresholds for Interstate 70 closures through Glenwood Canyon on Tuesday.
