Broncos WR Courtland Sutton on trade rumors: “This is where I ultimately want to be.” For wide receiver Courtland Sutton, Denver is home.As Sutton saw his name floated around in trade rumors this offseason, he appreciated other teams valuing his skill-set, but he is happy to remain with the Broncos.“It’s flattering that other teams see me as a (player) that can come in and be the guy for them,” Sutton said after Broncos OTAs on Thursday. “I love that I’m here. This is where I ultimately want to be.”During the league’s spring ownership meetings in March, head coach Sean Payton said a number of teams called about Sutton and fellow wideout Jerry Jeudy. But Denver stood pat and didn’t trade either before the NFL Draft while opting to pick up Jeudy’s fifth-year option.Still, the Broncos drafted Oklahoma wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. with their first pick in the second round, fueling speculation that Sutton’s days in the Mile High are nearing an end.If Denver trades Sutton this summer, it would save $14.4 million while taking on a $3.8 million dead cap hit, according to Ov...

Mendocino Cannabis Farmers Celebrate Reforms

Mendocino Cannabis Farmers Celebrate Reforms After years of struggle, Mendocino cannabis farmers finally have something to celebrate. And while advocates have searched for solutions for years, it would all end up coming down to a few short months leading to the progress that started with a desperate plea from farmers to Sacramento via a letter in February highlighting the perils of being a farmer in Mendo. For anyone that loves cannabis, hearing these tales from legacy cultivators who did their best to transition to the legal market that never protected them like it was intended to is heartbreaking. While there is plenty of healthy debate on whether poor regulations or mega farms destroyed the economy of The Emerald Triangle, nobody would argue against the idea they were both factors. Sacramento heard the call. A month later on March 14, the Senate Business and Professions Committee would hold a daylong seminar. The next day the state sent a letter to Mendo saying it was prepared to offer support. These conversations lasted th...
