Lake Elmo water access issues could derail plans for new elementary school Stillwater Area School District officials say they may need to look for a new site for a new Lake Elmo Elementary School because of issues regarding access to city water.The Lake Elmo City Council met Tuesday night to review an initial sketch plan of the project, and some council members raised concerns about hooking up city water to the 47-acre parcel on the northwest corner of Lake Elmo Avenue and 10th Street North — kitty-corner to Cimarron Park, a mobile-home community in Lake Elmo.District officials are now working with the seller of the land to extend the purchase agreement, which was set to expire on Nov. 28, for three months, to give district officials time “to collaborate with our community partners to come up with a solution that best meets the needs of our students and community members,” Superintendent Mike Funk said.An undated courtesy photo, circa December 2021, of Lake Elmo Elementary School in Lake Elmo. Arrest made in deadly Clayton shooting CLAYTON, Mo. - The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis arrested a suspect in a homicide in Clayton.18-year-old Trenell Johnson is accused of killing 41-year-old Joshua Harris on Monday. According to court documents, Harris was shot after he confronted Johnson, who was reportedly breaking into cars near Wydown Boulevard. Suspect wanted and charged in fatal Clayton shooting, victim identified Detectives explained that Johnson was out on bond for other car theft charges and should've been wearing a GPS bracelet, but he has failed to abide by the GPS condition of his bond. Police said that they were able to identify Johnson by video from a nearby security camera, which shows him running from the scene carrying a gun.

Our Bommarito Automotive Group SkyFOX helicopter is flying over the area located on North 22nd Street, where the fire initially started in a vacant building, then spread to an occupied home. Two people were living in the house at the time: a woman in a wheelchair and her adult daughter.
