All options are on the table for the Mets right now when it comes to how to proceed with the rest of the 2023 season. One of those options includes trading right-handed aces, Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer. That would be a nuclear option for the Mets. The front office has not expressed interest in exercising this option, but given the state of the underachieving club, it’s a possibility that has to be considered. However, it appears to be one that Verlander himself had not considered until the subject was broached during the Subway Series at Yankees Stadium this week. Verlander is “not really” aware of the Aug. 1 deadline at the moment.“I’m just trying to focus on what’s ahead of me,” Verlander said. “I would hope that if there is any chance of [being traded] that [general manager Billy Eppler] would come and talk to me. That hasn’t happened, so I’m focused on being a Met.”Verlander’s contract runs through 2024...US ties Netherlands in FIFA Women's World Cup

I’ve never even heard of it, having no AC for over a year," said Vanessa Downen, a Hazelwood resident.Downen moved into the Hazelwood Forest Apartment last summer. She quickly learned that her air conditioner didn’t work.“They determined it’s broken. We need to replace the entire unit. And then after that, I got very little information, very little action," she said. "Almost nothing done at all for the next year.”Downen claims that a new management company took over the complex a few months ago, complicating her efforts to get her air conditioning repaired.“With that, all of the information pertaining to the maintenance orders that I put in, pertaining to the complaints that I put in, all of that information is gone," Downen said. "Disappeared out of their system. So they didn’t know who I was. They didn’t know I didn’t have a working AC.”And she said she’s not the only ...Pastor helping Ferguson-Florissant students fly high with once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
